SBF theory
Training to become a ship's captain at the Stickler boat driving school.
Whether sailboats, motorboats or the theory for the recreational boating license (SBF), with us you will receive optimal training, specifically tailored to your individual needs.
The goal isn't simply to get someone ready for the SBF exam as quickly as possible, as is unfortunately the case with many schools. Instead, the focus is on acquiring the practical experience and expertise truly needed on the water to operate a sailboat or motorboat safely and efficiently. This is achieved without time pressure and with the help of a competent instructor boasting 20 years of experience. Afterwards, you'll automatically be well-prepared for the SBF exam, which is, of course, a primary focus. However, it's also crucial to have a solid grasp of the fundamentals of boat handling in the real world.
Some people learn faster, others slower. Actually, there's nothing about boating that anyone can't learn. We take our time, and all courses (except skipper training) are offered at a fixed price. There are no extra costs if more sessions are needed. All sessions are included, even retakes if an exam isn't passed on the first attempt.
Practical training on the water takes place in small groups of 1-3 people per instructor. This allows for more individual attention for each participant.
All courses are arranged individually. Sessions can generally be held on any weekday and Saturday between 9:30 am and dusk. Sunday afternoons are also possible by arrangement.
